Recommended by our chambre d'hôtes and did not disappoint. Can see why they go here a lot. Great choices and excellent food. Sizeable portions. Good inexpensive wine options.

Fantastic family run restaurant. Lovely first floor location overlooking the River Lot. Food is inexpensive and typical French and very tasty. When we went at lunchtime it was full and we were the only non-French people there. At lunchtime it is set 3 course meal with supplement for cheese. 2 choices of starter and 2 for main. Book in summer months. Bit tricky to find, on the ground level it is just a doorway leading to steps.

A really good address. They have a very generous menu (no one leave hungry, the Chef is passionate about his food, the local products and he is adamant that one must eat good food in his restaurant until it is virtually impossible to eat more). The menu is made out of delicious market products (if you have time and you can make it, the market next to the cathedral is really a nice thing to discover too and it is not far from the restaurant). There's also a lovely roof terrace with some vine providing shadows during the hot season. Some table will enjoy a view on the Lot river that is nearby.

We visit this part of France often and know this will become a classic in our book. Honest French cuisine without any thrills, this is how locals enjoy their food, very accommodating staff too!

Look, I'm a grumpy git at the best of times, but I was so happy eating here that I recommend everyone try to book a place if you're in the area. The food is delicious, plentiful, and each dish on offer is clearly made with love and care for the ingredients. If you factor in the price I have never had a better meal outside of my own home. To top it off: €7 for a 75cl carafe of wine?! That barely gets you a half pint of beer in Paris Go, get there early, and enjoy giving this wonderful establishment your patronage.

This restaurant is superb. Six of us dined like kings with mineral water and wine and the bill only came to €105. The quality of the traditional French cooking was excellent and the chef offered us more when he saw the enthusiasm with which we had polished off the first bowl of delicious cassoulet. Cheese and dessert followed as we enjoyed the ambience of the shady outdoor terrace. Everyone in this restaurant takes pride in what they do, and they have a lot to be proud about. Highly recommended.

A very good meal, proper home cooking in a friendly place. Possible to eat outside under the wisteria, overlooking the river, when the weather is suitable.
